The SAGA:
This one’s coming from my personal collection, so I’m going to talk about my own collecting journey just a little bit. To begin, I’m a sucker for patina. When it comes to vintage watches, that’s what it’s all about, at least for me. If a watch makes it into my personal collection, it has something a little extra going for it. That isn’t necessarily an extra line of text or two, mind you. I’m talking about personality. While I’m not a full-on @misterenthusiast contrarian, it still takes a bit of sympathy and imagination to appreciate a watch like this. Sort of like those classic horror films where all of a sudden the monster is humanized for you. This particular patina monster has a hard, battle-worn exterior, but right under the surface lurks something worth loving.
