The SAGA:
Opinion inbound: this is the last truly “vintage” GMT-Master. Sure, the reference number has five digits, but I personally feel the plexi crystal is the mandatory qualifier for a vintage Rolex.
An interesting point of fact is this was available at the same time as THREE other GMT-Master references. The 16760, 16700, and the 16710. Mind-boggling to think in 1988 you could have any one, or all four different GMTs in the same display cabinet!

Year of manufacture: 1988
Serial Number: R427XXX
Dial: Flawless gloss dial with white gold surrounds. luminous plots have aged to a parchment color, with the hands aging just slightly lighter.
Bezel insert: Stunning, deep candy-apple red and navy blue bezel insert. Correct blue back and “snowman” eights.
Case: Unpolished case with prominant factory bevels. Lug holes remain sharp with no signs of “dishing.” the case does show minor wear throughout.
Bracelet: Rolex 93150 bracelet with 580 end links. shows wear throughout and remains tight. 10 links.
Movement: Rolex caliber 3075 with quick-set date.
