The SAGA:
I have to admit I didn’t always love the 16710. I thought of myself as some sort of vintage “purist.” That was a massive mistake, as these make a helluva daily driver. You can quickly wind the watch, set the date with the isolated, jump-hour, then set the time to reference with the hacking seconds. A bit tricky the first time or two, but if I can manage it, I’m sure you can, too.
The second lie I told myself was that I prefer the Pepsi insert on these. That was true, but only until I saw this one. The black has a grayish value to it and the red looks like a candy apple; so much depth.

Dial: Excellent dial with off-white luminous markers and matching hands. Under UV the luminous material has the characteristic “shimmer” of the era.
Bezel insert: Beautifully faded and even coke serif insert
Case: Excellent case with prominent original bevels. Light wear throughout.
Bracelet: Excellent 93150 with 11 links and 501b end links. Almost zero stretch present.
Movement: Rolex Caliber
Accessories: Acknowledging that you’re disappointed when a restaurant serves Pepsi.
