1995 Rolex Explorer II 16570 “Polar”
The SAGA:
I feel as though I’m late to the party on the 16570. You could say I have regrets, but it’s only because I waited so long to finally offer one! As a daily watch, it’s hard to beat. Sure, it’s tough as nails, but that’s the tip of the iceberg (ahthankyou).
I’ll call this particular polar the Icy-Hot, due to its icy white dial and its warm, even luminous plots. It’s good for what ails you.

Dial: Flawless white tritium dial with plots that have aged to an even butterscotch color. Hands have aged to be slightly lighter than the dial. Pinhole in the luminous material of the minute hand.
Bezel insert: n/a
Case: Thick and even case that has been polished in the past.
Bracelet: 78360 that remains tight. 12 links. W8 date code.
Movement: Rolex caliber 3185
Accessories: Ice on your wrist without diamonds.
