William “Skip” Powell has been devoted fan of vintage watches for much of his life, and started SAGA Trading Co. in 2019 after spending years as a professional photographer. Skip’s photographs have been published in numerous outlets including The New York Times, Forbes, Art in America, Conde Nast Traveler, Departures, and many others. Skip attended Saint Lawrence University, majoring in art history, with a minor in film.

Skip has a special focus on vintage watches with great stories, with particular interest in vintage Rolex and Tudor sport watches, as well as military-issued watches.

Skip started SAGA to focus on watches and soft goods that showcase monumental achievements and extraordinary individuals. Everything SAGA offers has been thoughtfully sourced and selected based on its incredible history and careful craftsmanship. What SAGA offers, are Stories Worth Collecting.

Skip has left Brooklyn. He now lives in New Canaan with his wife and two daughters. The SAGA studio is also based in New Canaan.
