Frogskin Wallet - Beach

Frogskin Wallet - Beach

$160.00

Made with dead stock, 80-year-old camouflage fabric up-cycled from World War II United States Marine Corps ponchos.

Colloquially known as “frogskin” this camo pattern was most commonly fielded by Marine Raiders in the South Pacific. The M1942 reversible spot pattern features both “beach” and “jungle” sides to aid in concealment during the island hopping campaign. The beach side features three tan/brown colors, to be utilized during amphibious landings common to the theatre. The jungle pattern on the reverse sports five colors, including two shades of brown and three of green. Once the Marines were off the beach, they would simply flip their clothing inside out for better concealment in the dense greenery of the jungle.

The wallet holds eight cards and is compatible with both the US Dollar and Euro.

Hand made in Tuscany with the highest quality Italian leather.
